Vibration
1971 Margareta Sjodin
Sven-Bertil Taube plays the male lead in Vibration, as the successful young author, Mauritz Person. In the height of summer, he comes thundering on his motorbike into the idyllic charm of a village on the island in the Baltic, Gotland. He is looking for a quiet place to finish a book on astrology. Essy Persson plays the international actress who is escaping for a while from the glitter and vanity of the theatrical 'world by vacationing on this same island and the two meet. In a way, Essy's role in Vibration is her most finely balanced to date, since fiction and fact lie so close to each other. Essy Persson catapulted to international fame with her leading role in "I, A WOMAN" - She followed that up the following year playing the delicate dual role of the older and younger Therese in Radley Metzger's production of "THERESE AND ISABELLE". Torbiorn Axelman (Director) Apart from a number of striking television programs in recent years, Axelman, TV news reporter and producer, film

director and painter, created the widely discussed feature film, "Oh Dear, Oh Dear, or the Song of the Flame-Red Lobster" and the short film "Canary Dog".. Of the former, Peter Cowie wrote in the Financial Times: "Oh Dear, Oh Dear. . is that Swedish rarity, a disciplined farce. It is every bit as inventive as Richard Lester's direction of the Beatles and should establish its young maker firmly in the industry". "With Vibration, I have tried to put all my formal experimenting behind me, " says Axelman. I consciously tried to make it simple, and logical. I want people to recognize themselves."
