be a deserted shack off the main road, isolated and completely hidden by a stand of cottonwood trees. When the teacher remonstrates, Al whispers an obscene suggestion in her ear at which she slaps his face and he responds by knocking her down. Middle-aged Marvin (Jack Driscoll) the bus driver goes to the young woman's aid but is viciously attacked by Al who then races his bike back and forth over the helpless man while the terrified girls watch. It is obvious to Jay that Al is a dangerous killer, capable of being only partially controlled by Pete. To Julie (Cathy Worthington) he explains that all of their lives are in jeopardy. "Those two guys just killed a man. If they leave us here we can identify them. Our one chance is for me to go for help." The brothers herd everybody in-side the cabin. Terror has gripped the young women. Bobbie (Dma Ousley) whispers to Tina (Jill Voigt) that she knows the others don't approve of her morals-especially Pam (Susan Russell) who is a girl of high morals and proud of her virginity-but what she's about to do is for the sake of them all. She makes advances to Al who orders her to take off her clothes and as she does Jay and Miss Tenny-unaware of her motives- step between the killer and the girl. Al's madness flares again. Jay is knocked out and tied up by Pete as Al pushes the teacher into the adjoining room where he first whips her with his heavy leather belt, then tears off her clothes and rapes her. After Al rejoins the others Pete goes outside for a look around and the girls distract Al by playfully pulling him to the floor and piling on top of him. Julie manages to get to Jay and cuts his bonds, allowing him to escape. But his bike is slow in starting and the noise arouses Pete who takes off after him, pursuing over rough terrain. Kicking out at Jay's bike, Pete manages to maneuver the other man onto a cliff where he trips him into plummeting down in-to a dry river bed. Leaving him for dead, Pete returns to the cabin. Tina has managed to slip through a rear window and is running for help when she is missed and Al runs after her. On a sand dune the killer catches up with her, buries her face in the sand until she suffocates. In the shack the men are tired and order the women to go to sleep. Julie gets up to go outside for a breath of air and Al advises Pete to follow her. Unknown to them, Jay has recovered from the hard fall he took and has returned quietly to the cabin. From the roof he drops a noose around Pete's neck, killing him before he has a chance to cry out. Miss Tenny, the teacher watches without making a sound, hugging the side of the shack where she picks up a tent stake that lies at her feet. Suspicious that something may be wrong, Al comes looking for his brother, sees him lying dead with the rope around his neck and goes into a frenzied fit. Deadly certain of himself, he draws a knife and goes for his brother's slayer ...
