The Whistle Blowers
Blue Film Maruhi Sousa
1970 Tanya Tickler
Teaser Storyline for "The Whistle Blowers" A vice squad raid of a porno "factory" during a shooting session, uncovers really quality film footage. It also reveals to the viewer the varied natures of the cops involved. It is not dissimilar to the makeup of the general public as a whole. The chief is obsessed with the importance of morality and cannot stomach "the filth" that he must suffer through-the evidence that he's forced to view. After a time, you realize that his attitudes are really a mirror of his own psychological disturbances. One of the detectives is a blasé middle-of-the-road type of guy who can take pornography or leave it, and is simply doing his job. A young "stud" type of detective is so "turned on" by the films that he can't wait to go on more raids to confiscate more good footage. He eventually gets suspended from the force by his enraged chief because he is caught watching the stuff in the office with his girlfriend. The chief's

agitation reaches a point where he attempts to burn the footage, prompting the Commissioner to relieve him of his duties. He is given a sedative and the Commissioner and the detectives attempt to see if the film has been damaged. Not sedated enough, he lets out a tormented scream at a point where the heroine in the film is feverishly grasping the head of a dog and puffing it towards her body, in an attempt to reach a climax. The chief's wife arrives to take him home and as the camera pans up, we realize that the chief's wife is the star of the films he has been forced to view.
