The Minx
1969 Pressbook
Storyline Teaser for "The Minx"
Ruthless Henry Baxter (Robert Rodan) President of Lawson Industries is secretly planning a take-over of Eastern Devices, a much larger company headed by Benjamin Thayer (Ned Cary). The corporate raid will be accomplished both by Lawson buying stock through a Swiss bank and obtaining the support of two board members who will vote with Lawson at the proxy time. In celebration of obtaining their signatures, Baxter invites the two board members for a weekend of adult fun and games that will far surpass their former fraternity house orgies. Baxter orders his wealthy young brother-in-law, John Lawson, (Michael Beirne) to arrange the details, including the procurement of three gorgeous swinging girls. Unknown to Baxter, Lawson has been counter-plotting with Thayer to thwart the takeover, and the girls are specialists in corporate warfare and industrial espionage. These minxes are to obtain evidence of sexual misbehavior on film and tapes that can be used to discredit Baxter and his two unknown allies. Terry (Shirley Parker) is the enticing leader of

the Minx. Baxter obtains his wife's signature on documents essential to his scheme only by making love to her. Louise Baxter (Jan Sterling) knows her younger husband married her only for her money. After making love and getting the signatures, Baxter tells her they are finished. She warns Baxter she will never release him and hires a private detective (William Gleason) to obtain evidence to make Baxter's divorcing her too expensive. Cameras and tape record the wild revelry at the hunting lodge as the Minx complete their job. However, Baxter finds a tape recorder and pursues Terry with a shotgun to regain the evidence that can destroy a multi-million dollar take-over. Baxter is pursued by Beirne and Lawson, who is attracted to Terry. At the climax of the chase, Beirne kills Baxter in self-defense. Lawson takes the signed documents. Monday morning Lawson, seated at Baxter's desk, coldly tells Thayer that nothing has changed and Lawson Enterprises will take over Eastern Devices.
