The Love Pirate
Storyline Teaser for "The Love Pirate" The most evil body of water in the world is the China sea. Smugglers, gun runners, dope peddlers, floating opium dens, and seagoing brothels, are a part of the teeming boat traffic in this Sea of Sin. One junk, which originally was a floating pleasure palace, is led by Captain Fu and his gnarled hunchback stooge, with a crew of the most beautiful girls in the Orient. Fu is now engaged in an even more lucrative trade: Kidnapping. Foreign seamen are the usual victims, but now Fu plans to kidnap the daughter of a rich merchant, whom he knows will bring a much larger ransom. As Fu's junk docks in Hong Kong, Melodie, the beautiful victim-to-be, is bathing in her garden pool, unhappy because her father violently forbids her seeing her lover Lin, the handsome son of a poor dockhand. Fu has learned of this, and sends his hunchback stooge with the message that Lin is in trouble and wants Melodie

to come at once. She sneaks away from the mansion, and is thus taken captive on the pirate junk. When Lin arrives for another secret meeting with Melodie, he learns that they have just received a ransom note. Lin gets the hunchback's description from the maid, remembers seeing him when the pirate's ship docked, and with the distraught father's blessing, goes off to find her. When he arrives at the docks, Fu's junk has already set sail, so Lin gets a boat to pursue. As the Fu's junk sails out on the China sea, Melodie is forced to join in the nights carousing, but Fu decides she deserves his special attention, and drags her to his cabin. The pirate girls are disappointed, and pair off to amuse themselves. Lin overtakes the junk, strangles the hunchback, sneaks through the pirate girls, and finds Fu with Melodie. They fight and Fu is killed. Safely back home where father now approves of the marriage, the happy pair cavort in the garden pool as they enjoy an old oriental custom: Bathtub togetherness.
