Two sisters, Karin and Susanna live with their Aunt Margareta who operates a plush bordello specializing in very theatrical live productions. Margareta had developed the two sisters as her main attraction when they were very young. Forced to live out the fantasies of men and women each night-every afternoon they are free to create their own. Karin pretends to be an art student and has a boyfriend she meets daily. Susanna takes on various roles- 'sometimes a model or an Indian princess or a student. One day, dressed as a ballerina in leotards she meets a handsome young man, Peter Bok, in the park. He claims to be a test pilot but is actually a cargo checker at the airport. She introduces herself as 'Natasha" the orphaned daughter of a Count and Countess now living with her autocratic aunt. They start to meet every afternoon in the park and fall in love. Peter believes that Susanna's nights are taken up with social functions and charity ballet recitals. One night a sadistic young man,

Gerhard, comes to the Bordello with a friend. Gerhard, who is Peter's boss at the airport is also a member of a narcotics smuggling gang. At a mock slave auction conducted by Margareta, Gerhard wants Susanna but is outbid by his friend. He settles for Karin but abuses her terribly. Later Gerhard tries to buy Susanna but she rejects him and he beats her. Peter accidentally discovers a narcotics shipment at the airport. Later while walking near the park with "Natasha" they meet Gerhard who cannot place where he has seen "Natasha" before. When Interpol inspectors start questioning the airport workers about the narcotics smuggling. Gerhard threatens "Natashas" life if Peter talks. Karin's boyfriend has accepted a job in America and wants her to go with him. She is afraid to leave Susanna alone with Margareta who has been creating more and more bizarre "Acts" for the sisters. Susanna convinces Karin that she too has a boyfriend and expects to marry soon. Karin elopes on the day the fabulously wealthy Greek shipping magnate. Mykonos, is coming to the Bordello for the first time. Margareta expects him to be her entry into the international set. She substitutes another girl for Karin but Mykonos is not fooled and leaves in a rage. Drunk and vengeful, Margareta decides to call Karin's new in-laws and tell them about her past. Susanna slaps her, disconnects the phone and for the first time in her life, finds the strength to defy her aunt. When Gerhard recalls where he has seen "Natasha", he arranges for a party at the Bordello and insists that Peter come along. The big production that night is Susanna's 'Dance of the Seven Veils". When only her face-veil remains, Gerhard maliciously pulls it off. Stunned, Peter runs out. The narcotics squad, who have been following Gerhard, raid the house and lead him off in handcuffs. The next day, Susanna is wandering aimlessly through the park when she encounters Peter. The lovers are speechless after the revelations of the previous night. Peter starts by calling her "Natasha" and asking about her ballet classes. She says she has decided to give up the demanding life of a ballet dancer and to get her own apartment away from her aunt. She inquires about his flying. He has decided to give up the dangerous life of a test pilot-and now they will be free to spend days and nights together.
