The Big City can be a dirty place to make a living, especially if you're a Private Dick like Sam Nichols. Fortunately for Sam, his dangerous job has plenty of "fringe benefits" to offset the peril.
Take his secretary, Bubbles, for example. She can't type or take shorthand, but her dick-tation is A-1! Then there's always the generous clients, you know, rich broads who like to pay "up front" with sexual favors. Like Rita Hale. She's trying to find her little sister Laura, and she's willing to give Nichols anything.
She does. With the help of Laura's address book, Sam retraces the seedy descent of a good girl gone bad, as Laura's dabblirigs in lesbianism, orgies, and S&M come crawling out of the gutter. But the big surprise is what Sam finds waiting in his office when he returns a welcome break from the unrelenting passion of Street Heat
