Played against the backdrop of the rock music world in New York City. Seven Days Too Long is the story of a young married couple on the verge of divorce. Even though she is a number one rock and roll star, Linda finds herself alone and unhappy because she and her husband, a writer, have ceased to get along. She longs for his love, but he is obsessed by his writing and is annoyed by her advances. In order to be alone, he leaves her and goes to their home in the mountains. There, he meets a sexy blonde girl and he lets himself be seduced by her. Meanwhile, Linda seeks refuge with her friends and, desperate for affection, she begs them to satisfy her sexual desires. Later, shaken by her own infidelity, Linda returns home to her husband. Though neither one reveals that he has cheated, they are drawn together in the realization that they are still in love and still want and need each other's affection.
