Teaser Storyline for Sappho Darling

Sappho is a beautiful, lonely virgin in Sweden. Because of strict upbringing, she denies her boyfriend, Sven, the love he wishes. Brigitte, who becomes Sappho's roommate, was a virgin until she was gang raped.

Brigitte, is propositioned by Luana, to have fun and games with both sexes. Brigitte refuses.

Sven tries to take Sappho by force. Luana and her girl friend try to seduce Brigitte and Sappho. Sven comes to apologize and is appalled at what he thinks is happening. Brigitte goes to Sven's house to explain that Sappho loves him but is unable to overcome her fears and that things were not as they seemed. Meanwhile, Brigitte's new boyfriend attempts to rape Sappho. She is saved by Brigitte, who then supplies solace to the battered Sappho. Brigitte's compassion draws the two lonely girls closer together. Their intimacy increases until they have one homosexual experience together.

Sappho is ready to live the rest of her life with Brigitte. Brigitte tells Sappho that this cannot be that she likes men. Sven calls and asks Sappho to meet him. As Brigitte drives Sappho to the beach they both have doubts as to which way to live. Sappho runs from the car toward the waiting Sven. Halfway, between Sven, on the beach below and Brigitte in the car, Sappho stops, torn between Sven and Brigitte, expressed in a modernized version of the classic poetry of Sappho.

Sappho runs away from both her lovers along the edge of the cliff towards the sea. Brigitte drives away and Sven, disconsolate, walks in the opposite direction along the edge of the sea.
