Pussycat Pussycat I Love You

What's new, Pussycat? "Pussycat, Pussycat, I Love You" the lavishly produced Jerry Bresler Production in Color by DeLuxe which United Artists, entertainment subsidiary of the Transamerica Corporation, opened in 1970. Jan 'McShane who scored in the recent "Battle of Britain" carries the top male romantic lead with Anna Calder-Marshall, the sensation of the recent TV bombshell "The Male of the Species," playing his wife, a not undifficult task since what occupies McShane's mind most in the new comedy of the doings of the jet set are girls, girls, girls. Tall, handsome John Gavin plays a movie star who is uppermost on Miss Calder-Marshall's mind, and Severn Darden and Joyce Van Patten lend stellar support to the goings-on. "Pussycat, Pussycat, I Love You" was written by Rod Amatean, a gentleman who proved he was no stranger to comedy hy providing boffos in such outstanding TV standouts as the Ray Milland, Bob Cummings, Burns & Allen and Dennis Day Shows. He also directed the new offering, which was produced by Two-Time-Academy Award

Winner BresThr, for many years an important Hollywood innovating force. The film's highly contagious music was composed and conducted by Lab Schifrin. Since Rome seems to be prime habitat of the genes Jetset, Rome was the city chosen by Producer Bresler ss the locale for "Pussycat, Pussycat, I Love You." A word about the costuming in the new comedy: It's by Adriana Berselli and it is said to he in "pop art nude style." Precisely what that means no one could be pinned down to say. Teaser Storyline for "Pussycat, Pussycat, I Love You" Millie (ANNA CALDER-MARSHALL) is married to Playboy-Writer Fred (IAN McSHANE) who when he can find time from his dalliances with Mllie's sister Gwendolyn (MADELINE SMITH); his mistress Ornella (BEBA LONCAR); the luscious masseuse Liz (VERONICA CARLSON); his secretary Angelka (KATIA CHRISTINA) and several other charming pussycats, may be considered more or less of a model husband. There are however only 24 hours in the day and Millie finds herself alone more often Than not. So to occupy the time she has taken to fantasizing about her dream lover, handsome movie star Grant Granite (JOHN GAVIN). Suspecting he is losing his powers, Fred goes to Psychiatrist Fahrquard (SEVERN ARDEN) who if turns out, has some psychological problems of his own caused by his wife Anna (JOYCE VAN PATTEN). However, he listens, enthralled. Granite comes upon a story written by Fred and finds in if just the vehicle he needs to place him in top stardom. He rushes to Fred's home to buy the story but Fred is not home. But Millie is-taking a shower, and Granite bursts in on her. Millie doesn't know where Fred is but Granite gets her to accompany him on a search. This takes them on a wild chase through a number of love nests which Fred had just quit; some movie sets, Liz's Ladies Only massage place and a number of other far out places, with hilarious results. But they can't find Fred. Granite, no slouch in such matters, now divines the true nature of things with Millie, and acts accordingly . . . . RUNNING TIME: 99 MINS.
