a film director in the south of France. Groovy uses the money she sends him to buy Marijuana and L.S.D. from a local narcotics wholesaler (Felix), which he then gives away free to the hippies. Rico (Lino Desmond), the Mafia trafficker of retail narcotics in the Village, becomes aware of this, and blames the drop in narcotic sales on Groovy. Rico dispatches two of his henchmen to "rough-up" Groovy and stop the free dispensing of drugs. The two "hoods" rape Lauri and by accident, kill Groovy. This makes the situation worse for Rico, who is in the middle of a big narcotics transaction with an Englishman operating out of Marseilles, France. Rico is afraid that the girl, Lauri, can identify his henchmen and thus lead to his discovery. Rico prevails upon his girl, i'1onique, a luscious French Tart, to use her slight friendship with Lauri (who is now in the hospital) to gain her confidence as to the two 'hoods' who raped her and killed Groovy. Lauri moves in with Monique. Rico becomes impatient with Monique's feeble attempts to gain Lauri's confidence and sends Monique away for a few weeks. Rico then assuming the guise of a suitor, courts arid seduces Lauri, who becomes his mistress. Monique becomes aware of this and returns to New York and Upsets Rico's narcotics deal. Then in a dramatic confrontation with Lauri, she informs her that her lover is responsible for Groovy's death. Faced with this sudden realization, Lauri panics and runs from the apartment. Throughout, the action is intercut with scenes of Lauri in bed with Harry and his reactions, both mentally and physically, to her erotic disclosures. The shock ending comes at you with the force of a pile-driver . . .
