Love Me Like I Do
1970
Rich, beautiful, blonde Sharon, wife of Bill Sloan seems to be one of those creatures who have everything. But during an exciting cocktail party around the pool of their mansion we get acquainted with their circle of friends and we discover that there are cracks in the marriage. Marge, a statuesque divorcee provides the climax for the hectic evening by swimming in the pool without benefit of cocktail dress. Bill Sloan seems to get involved with Nanette, a real Sex menace and wife of Jim Nolan, a pilot. But Sharon finds out. We begin to realize that the marriage is doomed and Keith Hunter, a financially powerful competitor of Bill Sloan is beginning to move in. He apparently does not merely attempt to get Sharon but also Bill's business which is floundering. Sharon, desperate to save her marriage tries to seduce her own husband to get him back but instead she is rebuffed. Utterly wrought up she reaches a point of emotional crisis which Keith Hunter uses to break down her resistance.

He virtually rapes her in her own home but once in bed she completely surrenders. Bill, completely unaware of this, still tries to swing an advantageous business deal and takes Keith out for an evening on the town with Sharon and Marge. That night Sharon makes one more last effort to win Bill back by boldly trying to seduce him physically but when he rejects her she taunts him with Keith Hunter's love making. Furious, he hits her and she falls down. In a dramatic midnight confrontation Keith Hunter tries to buy Bill out and even get him to divorce Sharon. They wind up fighting like madmen and after a fierce battle both wind up in the pool. The next morning Sharon and her children move in with Marge. Keith Hunter shows up and he charms Sharon into a wild trip to Vegas. Meanwhile Bill has to surrender his house, his car and his plant. He's flat broke and only has a dirty pick-up left. He tries to persuade Nanette to run off with him. She turns him down and Bill tries Marge. He seduces her but she realizes that he is using her. He locks her into a cupboard and takes his children away. We find Keith and Sharon in a luxurious hotel suite having a mad affair but when Sharon is told that her children have been kidnapped the romance is over. Bill in a sense has gone berserk and Marge tells the police she has been raped. Bill, whose pick-up broke down when he tried to leave town, is staying with Nanette and police surround the house. Marge and Sharon together enter and parley with Nanette. Bill inadvertently overhears the conversation between the three women who discuss sex in locker room fashion. He loses his temper and the three women try to prevent him from using his gun. A shot is fired and the police let fly with teargas in a climactic tragi-comedy of errors. Sharon still thinks her man is worth having.
