Teaser Storyline for Lady Godiva Rides
From the old English literature comes the mythical story of Lady Godiva. For the first time Hollywood has succeeded in telling the tale of the voluptuous noble woman, who fell from the heights of English society to the pig sty mud, in a fight to defend her lover. Filmed in one of the major studios in Hollywood, here is the story:
Lady Godiva and Tom Jones are caught one evening in her ladyship's bed chamber by Lord Brotherton, her husband. When the Lord tries to kill Tom Jones, he is shot accidentally by Lady Godiva. Although he is not seriously wounded, Lady Godiva goes on trial, accused of attempted murder and adultery. She is found guilty and sentenced to death for the crime.

with the aid of an English barmaid, helps Lady Godiva escape from prison after she seduces the prison guard. Tom arranges for Godiva to take the place of one of the girls that are sailing on a ship to America and promises to join her as soon as possible. Lady Godiva boards the ship after she dyes her blonde hair black and uses the papers of a scullery maid by the name of Edie. The bevy of young English maidens aboard believe they are headed for America to become wives of rich miners and farmers. A lesbian, madam of a London house of prostitution, is in charge of the girls. Besides being the chaperon, she also has the mission to pick five of the girls for entertainers in a saloon in Goldstone, a booming town in the wild frontier. Two of the girls she knows will fill the bill as prostitutes as well as entertainers. In addition she chooses Lady Godiva and a friend who are not aware of her hideous plans. When the ship crosses the Equator, there is a big party for King Neptune which turns into an orgy when the Captain blacks out. One of the sailors has an affair with one of the girls and they are discovered by the lesbian chaperon, who reports them to the Captain and the next day the sailor receives twenty lashes for his action of disobedience.
Upon the ship's landing in America, Lady Godiva and four of the girls take a stage coach to Goldstone where the owner of the Goldstone Hotel, Kirby, tells them the real reason for their trip to America. As the lesbian chaperon suspected, Lady Godiva and her friend are reluctant. To make matters worse, one of the girls reveals the true identity of Lady Godiva and a fight ensues in the muddy street of Goldstone.
Upon discovering the true identity of Lady Godiva, Kirby decides to make her his personal property and attempts to rape her in her room. At that moment Tom Jones arrives, a fight ensues ...
