1978 Isabel Sarli
At the height of a severe storm, with the lashing rain pouring down, an open motor boat is tossed about by the high breaking waves and drifts toward the coast line of an unknown island. The lone occupant-a beautiful and lusciously endowed woman-staggers over the side and painstakingly makes for the sanctuary of land, collapsing on the deserted shore. As she sinks to the ground in a dead faint, part of her life is revealed in a series of flashbacks. The young and gorgeous Magda (Isabel Sarli) has created a sensation among the men of a cosmopolitan city. Exulting in her obvious sexuality and the resultant conquests it affords, she nevertheless becomes subjugated by the one man who can fully satiate her appetites. This lover is, however, an evil man who merely uses and exploits women. To demonstrate his power over her, he subjects her to many degradations both in public and private. Finally, realizing that she must escape his clutches or become his slave, Magda decides to marry an extremely wealthy

cousin whose dedicated love, money and protection will, hopefully, free her from this evil influence. Unfortunately, despite the magnificent homes, country clubs, luxurious yachts, clothes and exotic trips to foreign lands which comprise her new life, she is unsatisfied and restless. When her former lover contrives to meet her again at a swank party, both know that it is inevitable that she will again succumb. The ensuing illicit relationship is first suspected and then discovered, and ends with husband killing lover. Magda realizes that tragedy and evil befall nearly all who cross her path. The storm now abated Magda is discovered on the beach by three men who live and work there. This is a rocky island inhabited by thousands of sea lions and the men who hunt them for their skins. This is a rocky island inhabited by thousands of sea lions and the men who hunt them for their skins. Two of the rescuers are brothers and the third man lives with them and their mother and father in a sparsely furnished cabin and outside woodshed. As the men carry her back to the cabin, they cannot help but notice her lush figure and, as it always happens, begin to compete with each other for her. This leads to brutal combat between the older brother (Armando Bo) and the other man and results in the latter's violent death. Despite Magda's pleading that she will leave as soon as the trading boat arrives, it appears that nothing can stop an ultimate confrontation between the brothers which will tear the family apart. The suspense mounts almost painfully as the pattern of Magda's past seems to be repeating itself as the story reaches its climax. The older brother confesses that his passion for her is such that he will kill her and anyone else who helps her before he sees her leave the island. Confronted by thus, Magda leaves a suicide not and walks off in the direction of the sea lions and the swirling waters churning against the great rocks. Rushing after her in an agony of despair, the older brother catches her in time and relents, telling her that his love for her is so great that he cannot see her die. She may leave the island on the boat now approaching. Convinced now that a simple life with him on this wild island-away from the cities and a society which brought her nothing but tragedy-is her only hope for peace, she remains.
