Harry Flattout has been hired as a junior executive by a large oil corporation, Spurt-over Oil, in their personnel department. He is placed in charge of their stenographic pool, which has been a trouble spot in the Corporation. Because of the monotony of the job, the turnover rate has been high, and until Harry took charge, there was a strong movement among the girls to join the union, an idea which does not make management very happy.
Harry finds that by making love to the girls during office hours, morale has improved considerably. However, since it is without management's knowledge, finding a proper locale around the office is a bit of a problem.
After a number of narrow escapes, Harry decides to use the boss's office for his activities, thinking that the boss has left for the day. Unfortunately, the boss returns just as Harry is making it with the boss's private secretary. Everyone is fired and as a result of the shock, Harry becomes impotent.
Eventually, in an attempt to

find a cure for his problem, Harry becomes a patient at the Tighttwat Institute for Sexual Research, where, after a number of misadventures with various quacks, he is accidentally cured. Not only is he cured, but he receives an overdose in the Electrotesticular Cockerector, an invention of Dr. Charles Cherrypopper.
Harry returns to his former boss's office since he has fallen in love with his boss's private secretary. He is discovered again with her but by now, the steno pool is really unhappy and they are voting for the union. Management recognises Harry's worth and he is offered a better job with the corporation.
