Our heroes are two sophisticated suburbanites and a doctor friend, (not too sophisticated). Coming to their jobs in the Big City in order to support their suburban residences is but a part of their daily lives. They must remain in the city and work "overtime" in order to "keep up with the Joneses", or so they would want their wives to believe!!! The truth is that they have their own apartment where, after the end of a hard day's work, they forget their troubles and problems in the company of the more interesting opposite sex. Since the doctor is a bit on the conservative side, his two friends decide that he too should share in their enjoyments and adventures, so they arrange to have a patient, (female of course), visit his office. At first he is the pillar of virtue but, like all men, he finds the lure of seduction impossible to resist. All goes well for a time, that is until their wives, suspicions aroused, decide to look into the "I'm working late tonight" theme. Since the game can be played by anyone, they come into the city and manage to have themselves "picked up" by some gentlemen, and after a few drinks they decide to go to the town apartment kept by their husbands. What follows is a riotous Mack Sennet type scene. The husbands try to escape. The wives catch up with them. There is much bickering and argument and finally, after promises to behave, the errant spouses are accepted back into the good graces of their wives, and domestic happiness reigns once again in Suburbia.
