to the reporter. She reveals that she and her mother had fled from Italy several years before, after she was raped by one of four racketeers who are now also in America. At the time of the rape, her young Italian boyfriend was severely scarred by these gangsters, who burned his face with a torch. He also came to the United States, vowing to avenge himself one day by killing his four attackers.

During the Chinese New Year celebration, the reporter and his Chinese friend manage to lure the Mafia chief to a curio shop in Chinatown. They hope that he will incriminate himself so that they can obtain the needed evidence against him. The Black Widow appears at the store and is killed in the ensuing struggle. When the veil is lifted from the Black Widow's face, it turns out to be none other than the revenge-seeking boyfriend.

At this point, one of the Mafia henchmen reveals his true identity as an undercover police agent and arrests the leader and his stooges.

The reporter and the girl who gave him the first lead which helped him solve the case discover that they are in love and leave to make a new life, away from memories of the past.
