Laura Benton has tried to commit suicide and is placed under the care of a well known psychiatrist, Dr. Milton Goldstone. We soon discover that Laura is a nymphomaniac. As the story unfolds we see the events which have made her an insatiable lover. After her loss of innocence in a hayloft, her sexual abandon with many young men and a brutal beating by her drunken, incestuous stepfather, Laura comes to New York City where she becomes even freer in her search for the satisfaction she desires but can't seem to achieve. While working as a nightclub waitress Laura gets an opportunity to do a featured dance which is so torrid it results in her promotion to featured dancer. When the club manager walks her home after the triumph of her dance, she invites him up to her apartment and seduces him. Laura joins one of the other girls as a nude model, seduces the photographer becoming his steady girl friend in a van attempt at satisfaction. Her boyfriend, returning from out of town, catches her "in the act" with Lefty, the club manager. Going from one man to another, unsuccessfully trying to achieve FULL satisfaction she finally spends a weekend with Bebe, who is a Lesbian and makes love to Laura. This too is not enough and her search becomes increasingly frantic. Her frustrations rise to a peak and at the end of a wild orgy she tries to kill herself, being saved just in time.
