Dracula 7: Vampire Brides
Satanic Rites of Dracula
1974 Christopher Lee
Regal height, riveting gaze, a malevolent smile, the crackle and tension of a high-voltage wire -- this is the legendary vampire as Christopher Lee portrays him in DYNA-MITE! Entertainment's release COUNT DRACULA AND HIS VAMPIRE BRIDE, titled "Satanic Rites of Dracula" in Europe. In the new Count Dracula adventure, woven around obscene rituals, Christopher Lee is first seen as an eminent financier, secretly promoting an invention that may mean the end of mankind. When this disguise is dramatically torn aside to reveal the Count Dracula personality, Christopher Lee charges every gesture and expression with malevolence. He becomes evil dominant, and apparently -- until the end of the film -- invincible. Christopher Lee is a master of the art of conveying terror. He has practiced his art in six previous Dracula pictures, as well as in the James Bond series and "Dr. Terror's House of Horrors," "City of the Dead," "The Skull," "The House That Dripped Blood," "Scream and Scream Again." In COUNT DRACULA AND HIS VAMPIRE BRIDE, he is paired

again with Peter Cushing, who plays his formidable antagonist, Professor Van Helsing. The Hammer Film Production also stars Michael Coles, William Franklyn and Joanna Lumley. Alan Gibson directed and Roy Skeggs produced from a screenplay by Don Houghton. Eerie contrasts succeed one another as suspense rises in COUNT DRACULA AND HIS VAMPIRE BRIDE, the DYNA-MITE! Entertainment release opening ...... at the ...... Theater. A sheet of flame shoots across the desk of an eminent financier, and when it subsides the captain of industry stands revealed as the sinister Count Dracula. A stately English country mansion rises from scenic acres, but within its shadowed halls bloodthirsty vampire rites climax in obscene orgies. A laboratory, apparently devoted to scientific research for the good of mankind, is used to produce a bacillus that will spread instant death. Two masters of menace star in "COUNT DRACULA AND HIS VAMPIRE BRIDE": Christopher Lee as Count Dracula, and Peter Cushing as his arch-enemy, Professor Van Helsing. Backed up by Scotland Yard, the super-shrewd professor finally succeeds in stopping Dracula. Joanna Lumley is narrowly saved from the grisly fate of becoming Count Dracula's bride. The vampire girls who live in the cellar of the mansion, the brutal guards who surround it, and at last Count Dracula himself, are swept away. "COUNT DRACULA AND HIS VAMPIRE BRIDE" was made by Hammer Film Productions, the famous horror specialists. Also starring in the film are William Franklyn and Michael Coles. Roy Skeggs produced, Alan Gibson directed, and Don Houghton wrote the screenplay.
