Pilato), the self-appointed psychotic military leader, threatening to shoot Sarah (Lori Cardille), science research team leader, when she challenges his authority. Human hope-and the very survival of the human race-hinges on escaping to a remote inaccessible site, discovering a way to control and domesticate the walking dead, or getting the dead back into the grave for good. The grotesque research experiments are being conducted by Dr. Logan (Richard Liberty), a borderline mad scientist appropriately nicknamed Dr. Frankenstein by his associates. But, he is meeting with little success. His most promising prospect for controlling the hordes of walking dead is Bub (Howard Sherman), one of a limited supply of "guinea pig" zombies captured from outside the compound. As tension and frustration builds. . . hostility is ever-present between the scientific and military groups: Miguel (Antone DiLeo), Sarah's romantic interest, appears to be losing his mental ability to withstand the pressures of survival; even John (Terry Alexander), the helicopter pilot, who holds the key to the last form of transportation on ~the compound, is being sorely tried by the nerve-wracking circumstances of subterranean life and the nearby caged zombies. When Rhodes ultimately finds that his soldiers have been used as substitute guinea pigs in the zombie experiments, in retaliation he locks the remaining scientific team in with the caged zombies. Now finding themselves at the mercy of those who had been kept at bay, the remaining human survivors engage in an horrific last ditch battle for life with unleashed thousands of the walking dead. And.. . the result of this battle is the darkest day of horror the world has ever known...
