Beast of Blood
1971 Directed by Eddie Romero
Teaser Storyline for Beast of Blood Returning to Blood Island on board a small cargo ship, Bill Foster (John Ashley) meets Myra (Celeste Yarnall), a female reporter, out to get a story on the mysterious goingson there. Upon landing, Bill finds Ramu (Alfonso Carvajal) and the natives are quite apprehensive and fearful of him. They believe the 'evil one' still stalks the island. Laida (Lisa Belmonte), a native girl, whose father has been abducted by the 'evil one', joins their party as they head for the Lopez mansion. Once well-kept, the grounds and mansion are now run-down and decayed. Rats and snakes are everywhere and the rotted corpse of a man is found chained to the floor. The natives are terrified, but Bill believes that someone is deliberately trying to frighten the natives. While Ramu protects Myra, Bill and Laida, the natives break into the mansion. They encounter a decapitated head inside the mansion and briefly catch sight of Razak. While pursuing him, they encounter a tunnel, which shows signs

of having been used recently. Ramu arrives and says that Myra has been abducted and her guards killed. Bill, Ramu and several natives enter the tunnel and emerge near a fall. They can see Razak and some natives meeting up with the raiding party that captured Myra. Bill and Laida follow Razak's group and succeed in freeing Myra, who escapes alone into the forest. However, she is recaptured by Razak before Bill can get to her. Laida tells Bill that Razak and his men must be heading for the Valley of the Red Mist and that only she can guide him there. Razak (Bruno Punzalan) and his men arrive with Myra at Dr. Lorca's (Eddie Garcia) elaborate hideout in the Valley of the Red Mist. Lorca is hideously disfigured from his attack by the Blood Monster. In his laboratory is the decapitated body of the Monster, Don Ramon, kept alive by a mechanical brain and the head itself, also maintained by a mechanical device. The head is~till alive and functioning but Lorca cannot get it to speak, although he knows the head is capabie of doing so. Laida, having become separated from Bill, meets Ramu and his party and begins to lead them to Bill, who is on his way alone to Lorca's hideout. They join up with him and Bill proposes to go alone into Lorca's hideout, with Ramu and his men coming later to rescue him and Myra. Dr. Lorca, with the monster's head looking on, decapitates one of the green men and attempts to attach his head to the body of the monster, which begins to writhe in pain. The monster's head, unknown to Lorca, also shows signs of intense pain and before the head of the green man can be attached, it dies. Lorca is forced to discard the head and reconnect Don Ramon's body to the mechanical device. Bill walks alone into Lorca's camp, while Laida, Ramu and their party watch him from hidden positions. Lorca greets Bill coldly and proceeds to show him his new experiments. He explains he wishes to rid Don Ramon's brain of evil impulses and restore it to a normal appearance. Bill accuses Lorca of still experimenting with human beings and also hints, to Myra's surprise, that he is not quite as opposed to Lorcas' experiments as before. When alone, Bill tells Myra of the rescue plan and she is overwhelmed with relief. While Lorca prepares another green man for the operation, Ramu and his men move in on Lorca's hideout ...
