1983 Ken Marshall, Lysette Anthony
Krull - a journey to a planet peopled by creatures of myth and magic, where a daring young prince must save his bride - and his world from alien invaders, opened in 1983.
The Columbia Pictures release, a Ted Mann - Ron Silverman Production of a Peter Yates Film, stars Ken Marshall as the sword-slashing young Prince Colwyn, and Lysette Anthony as his imperiled bride. Freddie Jones and Francesca Annis also star. Directed by Yates and written by Stanford Sherman, Krull follows the adventures of the valiant young prince as he travels to a faraway cavern to recover the Glaive, a gleaming, star-shaped weapon with extraordinary powers. Accompanying him in his quest are a gentle wise man, a mischievous magician, a one-eyed Cyclops and a ragged band of reckless mercenaries. Opposing him are such sinister forces as the Widow of the Web, the Slayers (automated assassins from another world), and the all-powerful Beast who must kill Coiwyn to rule Krull.
Krull was produced by Ron Silverman, with Ted Mann as executive producer.
