Giant Machine Explores Depths Of "Earth's Core"
A giant burrowing machine ti~at runs out of control during its. "trial" run and digs deep into the earth's crust to an unknown land is the theme of American International's At the Earth's Core which screens at the Theatre. Based on a novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the Samuel Z. Arkoff presentation of the Max J. Rosenberg and Milton Subotsky production stars Doug McClure and Peter Cushing with Caroline Munro, Cy Grant, Godfrey James and Sean Lynch.
'Earth's Core' To Open Run American International's At the Earth's Core based on a novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, opened in 1976. Doug McClure and Peter Cushing, with Caroline Munro, Cy Grant, Godfrey James and Sean Lynch, star in the Max J. Rosenberg and Milton Subotsky production. The film depicts the exciting story of a giant burrowing machine nicknamed "The Iron Mole," which runs out of control during its experimental stage and carries its wealthy young American backer, played by McClure, and scientist-inventor, Cushing, deep into the earth's crust where they discover an unknown and strange land.
Caroline Munro In At the Earth's Core Caroline Munro stars with Doug McClure and Peter Cushing in American International's At the Earth's Core based on a novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, which opened in 1976. A photograph of the 26-year-old Miss Munro in Vogue magazine sent the beautiful actress-model on her burgeoning film career when a studio executive admired the picture and asked her to take a screen test. Her screen credits include "Dracula A.D. 72," "Captain Kronos," "The Golden Voyage of Sinbad" and "I Don't Want To Be Born."
