Movie Poster
1973 Bruce Lee
Teaser Storyline for Enter the Dragon In the countryside near Hong Kong, Lee (BRUCE LEE), the outstanding martial arts student at the Shaolin Temple, is met by Braithwaite (GEOFFREY WEEKS), an agent of an international intelligence organization. He asks Lee to participate in a brutal martial arts tournament to be held on a sinister island fortress. The aim is for Lee to gain enough information to convict Han (SHIH KIEN), a former Shaolin Temple student who has formed a martial arts academy to shield an international opium and prostitution business. Lee remembers a story told to him by an Old Man (HO LEE YAN) at the temple: Three years before, at the time of Han's last tournament, five of Han's men led by Oharra (BOB WALL) attacked Lee's sister, Su Lin (ANGELA MAO YING). Although she was a hapkido black belt, Su Lin was trapped by her attackers and stabbed herself to death with a piece of broken glass to avoid disgrace. Also on their way to Han's junk are

other martial arts experts from around the world. Among them are Roper, (JOHN SAXON), Williams (JIM KELLY) and Parsons (PETER ARCHER). On the island the visitors are greeted by Tania (AHNA CAPRI), mistress of the island. That evening the visitors are welcomed by Han at a lavish banquet. Following the banquet Lee meets Mei Ling (BETTY CHUNG), an agent planted by Braithwaite's organization. That night, while Williams innocently takes a walk around the grounds, Lee goes exploring. He discovers a vast system of underground caverns in which Han processes opium and keeps a large number of prisoners. At the tournament the next day Han welcomes his "guests.'' After Roper and Williams easily win their matches Han has his bodyguard Bob (YANG SZE) kill the four guards who let Lee prowl around the grounds. Next, Lee is pitted against Oharra. Although a major karate champion, Oharra is no match for Lee's lightening-fast feet. Infuriated by his impending defeat, Oharra lunges at Lee with two broken bottles, but Lee kills him with a flying kick. That afternoon, Han, who believes that it was Williams who fought with the guards the night before, engages him in a fierce hand-to-hand fight. Unknown to Williams, Han has an artificial steel hand with which he brutally defeats his opponent. That night Lee re-enters the cavern after capturing a venomous guardian cobra. He succeeds in sending a message to Braithwaite by radio before he is captured. In the morning's competitions Roper kills Bob, but Han's plan to have Roper and Lee fight to the death is frustrated when Roper sides with Lee. As Han sends his men after Roper and Lee hundreds of Han's prisoners, released by Mei Ling, flood the tournament ground. While the battle rages Lee pursues Han into a mirrored maze in which the two antagonists fight fiercely to the death ... Running Time: 98 Minutes Aspect: Scope
