Big Trouble in Little China

Twentieth Century Fox's Big Trouble in Little China a mystical action-adventure-comedy-kung-fu-monster-ghost-story about the imaginary world under Chinatown, where the ghosts live!
Kurt Russell stars as Jack Burton, a tough truck-driver who doesn't believe in ghosts or magic, until he's swept into a mind-boggling adventure in the mysterious world under Chinatown. Joining Russell are Dennis Dun as Burton's pal Wang Chi, who is trying to rescue his kidnapped fiancee; Kim Cattrall as Gracie Law, a crusading attorney; Victor Wong as Egg Shen, an enigmatic tour-bus driver who seems to know a lot about ancient Chinese magic, for a tour-bus driver; and Kate Burton as Margo Litzenberger, an eager but inexperienced reporter. Together they do battle with an outlandish array of human and inhuman adversaries under the command of Lo Pan (James Hong), a 2000-year-old evil magician who has the power to transform himself from a wheelchair-bound old man into a seven-foot-tall mystical menace.
Big Trouble in Little China is directed by John Carpenter, who was responsible for such films as "Halloween," "The Fog,"

"The Thing" and "Starman," and written by Gary Goldman & David Z. Weinstein, adaptation by W. IL Richter ("The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai").
The Taft/Barish/Monash Production is produced by Larry Franco, with Paul Monash and Keith Barish serving as executive producers. Multi-Oscar-winner Richard Edlund ("Star Wars," "Ghostbusters," "Poltergeist") is producing the film's special visual effects. Director of cinematography is Dean Cundey, and the score is by John Carpenter, in association with Alan Bowarth.
